Wow your "hair" melanin is poppin lol. Yup thank the cortex of your hair for that. Eumelanin is found in darker hair, while pheomelanin is found in blonde and auburn natural colored hair. The cortex also determines the pattern, thickness and texture of the hair. In order for chemicals to work on your hair , the cuticle layer which protects the hair has to be raised and makes deposits into the cortex. Once these changes are made to the cortex,  they are irreversible. The main reason why we suggest not dying your bundles, but buying a 613 russian blonde and coloring to the shade of your preference.
